Wild Kite - Patagonia

A kite trip like you never imagined. This expedition begins on horseback towards Lake Lolog. An absolutely wild and remote place. For 4 days you will sail in one of the most amazing places on the planet.

The expedition

Stop for a moment. Imagine this: you are in Patagonia. Open the window and come across a volcano so beautiful it looks surreal. You grab your board and your kite and stop to prepare your horse. That's right. Your horse. For 3 hours you will climb a part of the mountain range and reach into one of the most beautiful lakes in the world. There you sail to a completely secluded cabin and camp there for the next 4 days in a true paradise. You will learn to do an Argentinean parrilla, have a speedboat at your disposal to explorer other areas of the lake. Sailing, trekking, contemplation and adventure.

What I described to you may be your next adventure. Red wolf is launching a kite trip completely unlike anything you've ever seen.

The expedition

Our expedition begins in the midst of a remote environment in San Martin de Los Andes, where our horses will be groomed by natives to begin the ascent.
You, your kite gear and the horse ...
From above, a surreal view of one of the most beautiful lakes in the world! There will be our home for the next few days!
Arriving on a beach, we set up our kite and set off for a totally secluded cabin! She will be our base on this remote lake.
We will sleep in tents in front of the lake and have at our disposal kayaks, speedboats, fishing equipment to make the most of that lush Patagonian nature.

I don´t kite. Can I go?

Of course yes! This will be an amazing trip with many activities and possibilities. See some of our activities:

Trout fishing with fly fishing;

  • Kayak;

  • Trekking;

Sailing conditions

This region of Patagonia is known for the winds that descend the mountain range. Conditions can be very variable with winds ranging from 8 knots to 40 knots. Ideally, carry foil and freestyle equipment to maximize sailing conditions.
The water is cold but as we will be in summer and in hot weather a 3.2mm wetsuit is sufficient. For the cold ones we recommend a neoprene boot too.
